Pride March 2018: Equality in Rainbow Colors
Rain or shine, the LGBT community and its allies celebrated the Pride March 2018 last June 30 at the Marikina Sports center. Regardless of the bad weather, thousand members and supporters of the LGBTQIA+ unite to celebrate the annual Pride March with the theme "Rise Up Together". Pride march, a protest and celebration, aims to empower and invigorate gender equality among the members of LGBTQIA+ community. It also promotes HIV awareness, same sex marriage, and a call to pass the SOGIE Equality Bill. Rise Up Together is a theme calling for solidarity, intersectionality, and policy change to the members and allies of third sex community. Rainbow Colors is a spectrum of love, equality, peace, and diversity. We rise up together to unite and magnify each other through the spectrum of love.
